About NoteDraft

NoteDraft is a set of free office tools — a word processor, a spreadsheet, a presentation maker and a whiteboard — that run entirely inside your browser. There is no account to create and nothing is uploaded.

Why it works this way

Most free online tools are free because you are the product: you sign up, your files live on someone else's server, and the business model arrives later. NoteDraft is built the other way round. There is no server holding your documents, which means there is nothing to sign in to, nothing to leak, and no ongoing cost that has to be recovered from you.

The trade-off is real and worth stating plainly: because nothing is uploaded, your documents do not automatically follow you to another device. You move them yourself, by saving a file or sharing a link. That is the honest cost of not having an account.

The tools

Word Processor Write and format documents on a real page, import and export .docx. Spreadsheet Formulas, cell references and ranges, with .xlsx and CSV in and out. Presentation Build decks with themes and speaker notes, import and export .pptx. Whiteboard Hand-drawn style diagrams on an infinite canvas, exported as SVG or PNG.

Where your work is kept

Documents are stored in your browser on the device you are using. They survive closing the tab and restarting the computer, but they are not indestructible — clearing browsing data removes them, and Safari clears unused site storage after about seven days of not visiting.

For anything you care about, use File → Save a copy as to write a real file to your own disk. That copy is yours, works offline forever, and does not depend on this site continuing to exist.

What it costs

Nothing. There is no paid tier, no trial and no feature held back. The site may carry advertising on its information pages to cover hosting; ads are never shown on a page displaying someone's shared document.

Built with

NoteDraft is a static site — HTML, CSS and JavaScript served from a CDN, with no backend at all. Word, Excel and PowerPoint files are read and written directly in the browser using its own compression and XML APIs, which is why importing a file never involves sending it anywhere.
