Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of NoteDraft. They are short because the service is simple: you use free tools that run in your browser, and no account or payment is involved.

1. Using NoteDraft

NoteDraft is free to use, for personal or commercial work, with no account required. You may use documents you create with it however you like — we claim no rights over anything you write, calculate, present or draw.

2. Your content is yours

We do not receive your documents, so we cannot and do not claim any licence over them. You keep full ownership and full responsibility for what you create.

3. Your responsibility for keeping your work

This is the most important clause here. Documents are stored in your browser on your device. That storage is not permanent: clearing browsing data removes it, and some browsers automatically clear storage for sites you have not visited recently.

You are responsible for keeping your own copies. Use File → Save a copy as to write a real file to your disk for anything you would be upset to lose. We cannot recover a lost document, because we never had it.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use NoteDraft to:

• Create or distribute unlawful material, or material that infringes someone else's rights.
• Share links containing content that is illegal, harassing or intended to deceive.
• Attempt to disrupt the service or the devices of other people who use it.

Because share links carry the document inside the URL rather than on a server, we cannot remove, moderate or disable an individual shared document. Whoever creates and distributes a link is responsible for its contents.

5. Files you open

Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CSV and image files you open are converted inside your browser. Conversion between formats is never perfect — some formatting and features may not carry across. Check important documents after converting them, and keep the original.

6. No warranty

NoteDraft is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that it will be available, error-free, or that it will preserve your work. It is a free tool, offered in good faith, and you use it at your own risk.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of NoteDraft, including lost documents, lost data or lost business. If you need guaranteed durability or support, use a service that provides it contractually.

8. Advertising

The site may display advertising to cover hosting costs. Ads are never shown on a page displaying someone's shared document. See the privacy policy for how advertising and analytics handle data.

9. Changes to these terms

These terms may change as the tools change. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated, and continuing to use NoteDraft means accepting the current version.
